About Yixuan Han

Yixuan (Fafa) Han, an award-winning concert pianist born in Anshan, China in 1995, began his piano training at an early age under the guidance of his father, an amateur pianist and painter, and his grandfather, a violinist and conductor. He recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Performance at the University of Michigan, after having previously earned a Master of Music (MM) at the New England Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music (BM) at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Prior to his undergraduate studies, Han attended the Attached Middle and High School of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music. His principal teachers include Arthur Greene, Dang Thai Son, Alexander Korsantia, Angela Cheng, and Danwei Wei.

Han has appeared in solo and chamber concerts and led masterclasses across Asia, Europe, and North America, collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists worldwide. He has taken part in renowned festivals such as Music Fest Perugia, the Beijing International Music Festival and Academy, the Rebecca Penney Music Festival, the Sicily Music Festival, and the Borromeo Music Festival. His recent accolades include the Grand Prize at the American Virtuoso International Music Competition, the Nevada School of the Arts International Music Competition, and the Charleston International Music Competition, as well as First Prize at the Concert Artist International Competition â€‹

Graduated from University of Michigan

Han currently resides in Charlotte NC, and works as the adjunct professor at CHUN University.
